Community Notice: Participate in West Moberly’s Documentary Proposal
July 23, 2026
West Moberly First Nations community is invited to participate in the development of a documentary proposal during West Moberly Days.
If you would like to share your memories and stories, please sign up for a brief interview with Haida filmmaker Heather Hatch by speaking with summer student Asia Brown. Asia will assist you with the sign-up process and can provide transportation to the Dunne Za Lodge.
The documentary proposal aims to explore West Moberly’s history through the memories and stories of its founding families, alongside its archaeological record.
Please note that this is the proposal development stage only and not the filming of the documentary itself.
Heather will be available for in-person interviews throughout West Moberly Days and until July 29. If you are unable to attend in person, you are also welcome to participate later this summer by phone, Zoom, or by sending your stories and information directly to Heather.
Heather Hatch is the filmmaker behind Wochiigii Lo: End of the Peace, the documentary that chronicled West Moberly First Nations’ opposition to Site C.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange an interview, please contact Heather:
